Privacy policy

Your health data is some of the most personal information you have. Here is how CareSewa handles it.

Last updated: 18 July 2026

1. Who we are

CareSewa is a health platform operated by Lacspace (“CareSewa”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal and health information we collect when you use the CareSewa app and web portal, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to your CareSewa account — not to the independent records kept by the healthcare providers you connect to, which those providers control under their own policies.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, contact details and the credentials you set when you register.
  • Health information you add — vitals you log, dependents you add, and any details you enter about yourself or the people you care for.
  • Records from connected providers — prescriptions, reports and visit notes that a provider you have connected to shares into your timeline.
  • Usage and device information — basic technical data needed to run the service securely, such as app version and general device type.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to provide the service: to show your records and appointments, to let you book with and share records to the providers you choose, to keep your account secure, and to support you when you ask for help. We do not sell your personal or health information, and we do not use your health data for advertising.

4. How your information is shared

Your health information is shared with a healthcare provider only when you connect to them and then explicitly choose to share. Connecting alone reveals nothing. When you revoke a provider, their access ends on their next request — there is no grace period. We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example, secure hosting), under contracts that require them to protect it, and where the law requires disclosure.

5. Your control and choices

  • Connect and disconnect providers at any time, and control what each connected provider can see.
  • Access and update the personal information on your account.
  • Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account, subject to legal retention limits.
  • Post to the community anonymously, with your identity absent from what others can read.

6. How we protect your data

We encrypt your data in transit, check access on every request rather than trusting a copy taken once, and keep an append-only audit log of changes to your records. Clinical records are soft-deleted by default so your history is not casually erased. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting health data is the core of how the platform is built.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account we remove or de-identify your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.

8. Children

CareSewa is intended for adults. An adult may add a child as a dependent and manage that child’s care; the responsible adult controls that information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
