- Who owns my CareSewa account — me, or my hospital?
- You. A CareSewa account lives at the platform level: you create it, you hold the Health ID, and it stays yours even if you never see a particular provider again. No provider can create, own, freeze or delete your account, and none of them sees anything on it until you connect and choose to share.
- Is CareSewa free?
- Yes to start. A free account gives you your Health ID, provider connections, your records and the community — permanently. Paid plans unlock premium services like instant consults, home care and a shared family vault. Pricing is set per market, so you always see the right amount for where you are.
- How do I connect a healthcare provider?
- Find the clinic, hospital or lab in the app and connect to them. Connecting is a handshake — at that point they only know you exist. Sharing your profile and records is a second, separate choice you make explicitly. Until you do, a connected provider sees nothing.
- What happens when I revoke a provider?
- They stop seeing you immediately. Revoking hides your profile and records from that provider on their very next request — there is no cache to wait out and no grace period. Your records aggregate across active connections only, so a revoked provider drops out of the picture entirely.
- Where do my medical records come from?
- From the providers you connect to. As a connected provider records a prescription, lab report or visit note for you, it lands in your CareSewa timeline. You can also keep your own vitals — blood pressure, glucose, weight and more — and watch the trend over time.
- Can I manage my family from my account?
- Yes. Add the dependents you look after — a parent, a child, a partner — and manage their appointments and records alongside your own. The Family plan covers a shared vault so the person who does the remembering in a household can do it in one place.
- Can I ask a health question anonymously?
- Yes, and it holds. An anonymous community post does not carry your identity to anyone reading the thread — not to other patients and not to the clinicians answering. You can still find and delete your own posts, because the app knows they are yours even when the feed does not show it.
- Is my health data secure?
- Your data is encrypted in transit, access is checked on every request rather than copied once, and every change is recorded in an append-only audit log — who did it, when, and from where. Clinical records are soft-deleted by default, so your history is not casually erased.
- What is the difference between the app and the web portal?
- Same account, same Health ID, different surface. CareSewa One is the mobile app — services, bookings, community and records in your pocket. The Patient Portal is the browser view of the same identity, for when you would rather be at a desk.
- Are the iOS and Android apps available yet?
- They are about to launch. In the meantime you can use the full web app today — create an account, get your Health ID and connect your providers — and the mobile apps will sign you into the same account when they arrive.
